Providence Senior Patient Care Coordinator - Surgery Scheduler/Prior Auth Rep in Missoula, Montana

Under the general direction of the Clinic Manager, the Senior Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the documentation and implementation of policies and procedures relating to the coordination of incoming referrals. This position serves as a resource to providers and staff in regard to referral requirements and confirms the need for prior authorization for services. This position represents the first line of communication with physicians, clinical staff and office staff. This position receives all pertinent referral information and forwards requests to the insurance plan through different electronic mediums (fax, web-based applications and telephone) as indicated. This position is also required to review referrals for all pertinent elements and refer to appropriate staff.

Required qualifications:
- 1 year Experience working in medical environment or with medical insurances.
Preferred qualifications:
- 4 years Experience working in medical environment or with medical insurances.
