Full-Time/Day Shift
$5,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.
Performs both qualitative and quantitative cytologic tests on a variety of cell samples to establish the presence or absence of cancer, infectious disease and other cellular abnormalities and to provide accurate test results to physicians in a timely manner to assist in their diagnosis. Performs ROSE on FNA and triages specimens accordingly.
A cytotechnologist can advance through the two defined levels of this job category. To advance, an employee must meet minimum workload requirements and levels of experience. In addition, the employee must demonstrate increased knowledge, skills and abilities in order to assume the increased responsibilities and accountabilities of the designated level.

Required qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in A scientific discipline. Or equivalent educ/experience.
upon hire: National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology.
3 years Experience as a cytotechnologist.
Experience with ROSE of FNA of variety of body sites e.g., thyroid, lung, lymph nodes, pancreas, etc.
Preferred qualifications:
Telecytology experience.
ThinPrep/Surepath or monolayer preparation experience.
